INFORMATION USE

Common History is an online photography platform that allows users to upload their photographs (“Images” or “Submissions”) and caption information, organize them into timelines (“Timelines”) and share them with friends, family, and the world. Registered users may also license photographs for various purposes.

Common History only collects personally identifiable information that is necessary to:

  • Process customer accounts;
  • Answer questions posed by Users through its contact form; and
  • To process payments for licensing fees and subscriptions.

Users will be required to disclose personally identifiable information, including credit card numbers to Common History for completing license payment transactions. Common History will not release credit card information to 3rd parties for any other purpose.

Registered users of Common History may post personal information along with Images and although Common History requests that its Users use good judgment in publicly disclosing personal information, it does not collect this information for any purpose other than to permit Users to post it on the website.

The Common History website also contains links to other websites with which Common History has no affiliation. Please be aware that Common History is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our Users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this website.

Common History may also collect statistical information about its Users, which is not personally identifiable. Such statistical information helps us improve the quality and usability of the website and improve our marketing to others who may benefit from it.

SHARING INFORMATION

Common History does not share personal information with third parties unless it is related to the processing of credit card payments or when prior permission has been obtained from the User.

Although we make every effort to preserve User privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law, when we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, or when a court order or legal process served on the website.

Common History will not share information about you with any person or company except as described above.

CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS

Information provided by customers to Common History as part of their customer accounts will be maintained as confidential and will not be available to non-account holders. Such information may be available to Common History employees and contractors for maintenance and customer service purposes.

MINORS

Common History does not intentionally collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are under 18 years old, you should not enter information on this website and should ask a parent to do so for you.
